Here is a light-hearted look at what happened at the Men's EHF EURO 2016 on Sunday, 24 January

Impossible in football…

Imaging Pele and Sir Alex Ferguson sitting in the bar of a three-star hotel, watching football and paying themselves for their drinks withouth being surrounded by security, fans and media. Impossible in football, quite the usual in handball.

On Saturday night in one of the Wroclaw team hotels, one of the world's most successful handball players, Olympic gold medallist with the Sovier Union, Andrej Lavrov, and Ulrik Wilbek, Head coach of the 1996 Olympic gold winning Danish women's team and coach of the the Danish men's team that won the EHF EURO in 2008 and 2012, analysed Saturday's matches France vs Croatia and Poland vs Norway while chatting to each other in front of a TV.

Both have new roles these days: Wilbek is the Danish Handball Federation's technical director, Lavrov is a board member of the Russian Handball Federation and also works for the Russian sports ministry.

The German darts amateurs

What do you do on a day without matches when every kind of preparation has been done already? On Saturday night, Germany's Steffen Weinhold and Niclas Pieczkowski gave it a go at another sport: darts.

But contrary to the very recent thrilling World Championship Final in London, won by Gary Anderson against Adrian Lewis, Weinhold and Pieczkowski definitely lack experience and precision. But: Let Anderson and Lewis play handball, then you see, who is the best...
