EHF EURO History
The first Men's EHF European Handball Championship was EHF EURO 1994 in Portugal with 12 teams competing for honours.
EHF EURO 2016 in Poland is the 12th EHF European Handball Championship and will feature 16 teams.
Sweden currently lead the medal table with their four gold medals but France are hot on their heels having won the most recent EHF EURO - the 2014 edition in Denmark.
