Player clothing at the EHF EURO 2016

MEDIA STATEMENT: The EHF Tournament Management has issued a clarification to teams ahead of the start of the championship

Following its first meeting ahead of the Men’s EHF EURO 2016 in Poland, the EHF EURO Tournament Management issued a clarification to participating teams relating to clothing, team uniforms and medical supports following a number of issues raised ahead of the event.

On the specific question of the colour of the team captain’s armband, the EHF Tournament Management made it clear that the captain’s band is regarded as a part of the playing kit of a team and therefore has to match the appearance of the team kit. It should be in one colour or colours of that nation.

Similarly any additional clothing worn by players such as socks, leggings and long sleeves also have to provide a harmonised appearance with all team members wearing the same colours.
